FLSA 80/20 Tip Credit Rule

Morning I-Team,

The Fed Department of Labor has reinstated the FLSA 80/20 Tip Credit rule and added teeth that put the burden on the Employer to ensure compliance. The enforcement starts at the end of the year.  Do you know/heard any internal discussions about whether Toast will add features to the Time Clock System handle this compliance? We are getting requests from Customer's who what a rule-based adjustment to a Tip Credit employee's time to allocate 20% of their time to a Min Wage Job to ensure compliance.

  We do not have any pending API changes in relation to this. We'll let you know if we hear of any other changes to the Toast platform that will support this.
