I can understand everyone's frustration with the response time on Partnership Applications. For context, we receive over 100 requests per month for new partnerships and cannot approve all applications. We have been slower at responding to applications than I would like and are a couple of months behind.

We recently updated our application form to make it easier to process on our side. If you applied before October, I urge you to resubmit your application here. We are improving our responsiveness and expect to respond more quickly after the holidays.

If a request is urgent and tied to a specific customer need, the best approach is for the customer to make the request directly through their Toast representative.

If you have other questions, you may reach out to partners@toasttab.com.

    Best,
    Keith

    Hello Juan F Arjona,

Before we can issue client credentials, you'll need to apply and be approved for our partner program. You can submit an application here: https://pos.toasttab.com/partners

    Thanks!

    Ann

They're not very good about responding to the partners applications. I submitted one on Nov. 6 and still haven't heard anything.

    Hi Ron McCranie,

Thank you for your interest in becoming a Toast partner! We receive a lot of applications to our partner program, which can take some time to process. When your application has reached the top of the queue someone will be in touch on next steps.

    Thanks,

    Ann

Wow!  I submitted mine last week, no hope then.

I have submitted 3 in the past year alone and have yet to hear back. Assuming it is critical and time-constrained, is there a way we can get an accelerated response? How long usually does it take to get to chat with someone?

Keith, thanks for the answer.  Maybe you guys want to check what other companies do, like Quickbooks for example, they manage companies' accounting (much more sensitive than the data you manage), but they don't have an application process before you can start working on the app; developers can sign-in and start working on applications using a standard sandbox.  Then they have a due process to check the applications before they are released ensuring they work properly.  Same happens with Apple and many others companies that offer APIs/SDKs.

Right now, our hands are tied, we cannot start developing and advancing.  All efforts are stopped by an unnecessary bottleneck before you can even start.

For restaurants that want their own integrations, it should just be an agreement where the risks are taken by the restaurant as it is their own solution, you just need to ensure proper authentication/security and limit the rate of API calls if that is a concern.

    Cheers.

    Juan
