Group Selections By Service Round

Is there a way to programmatically group selections by service rounds? Like grouping menu items by round. For example server enters drinks, then send. Five minutes later (or any un-predetermined time) they enter appetizers and more drinks, then send. Trying to group the 1st round of drinks together and 2nd round of apps and drinks together but there is no field that indicates service round.

  Hi Mark Mitchell,

  Restaurants can set course firing through Toast Web but this cannot be configured via API. This guide outlines how this is configured: https://central.toasttab.com/s/article/Course-Firing-Options

  Item fire timing is also based on the items prepTime value, which is available via our menus API. Different prepTimes will control the pace of item firing. I recommend taking a look at this guide as well: https://doc.toasttab.com/doc/platformguide/adminFireByPrepTime.html
