Recall status, Pickup Status
It would be nice if there was a fulfillment status that reflected a recalled order.
Something like: fulfillmentStatus: RECALLED
Or maybe another flag somewhere, though I imagine adding an entire field to the API would be a bigger undertaking. The only way I'm able to track it now that I'm aware of is tracking if an item or modifier goes from READY and back to SENT.
Additionally it would be nice to be able to track pickup status on the order. As far as I can tell the only thing that updates when an order is marked picked up or ready in the order Hub on the POS end is the "modifiedDate" field which makes it almost impossible to track pickup status since many other things change the modified date on the order.
Dream request: Are there any plans to make a separate API specific to KDS fulfillment? It would be amazing if each item tracked each step of the fulfillment like sentTime, readyTime, etc.

These are two fantastic suggestions. There's been much discussion on fulfillmentstatus and what we can do improve the capabilities our integrations have to generate their own Kitchen Reports to track efficiencies. Let me circle back with our product team to understand what we can share at this time and I'll file a request on your behalf to ensure it's documented internally. However one question I have is; would it be preferable to have an endpoint or a webhook for delivering these updates?
As for the current capabilities, you're correct, the fulfillmentStatus when updated from READY to SENT is the only method to understand if an items been recalled by the expeditor.
