Order Processing Fee
Toast is rolling out the new Order Processing Fee on all On-line orders and the income is being posted to the Restaurant as a new Service Charge called ‘Order Processing Fee’.
Our understanding is that that fee is then deducted from the restaurant's Credit Card deposit so that the income passes through to Toast.
Is that deduction included in the ‘originalProcessingFee’ field of the Payment Object? Or is there a new field that records that deduction similar to the ‘mcaRepaymentAmount’ used for Loan repayments.
Our hope is that, at minimum, the amount is included in originalProcessingFee but ultimately, should be reported on a separate field called something like ‘orderProcessingFee’.
If the amount is NOT currently included in any field, this will be a BIG problem since the total Credit Cards less CC Fees and Loan Repayments will NOT balance to what is deposited to the customer's bank.

Hi Kristopher,
The best way to account for this fee is to fetch the specifics of these charges from the operators as we're going to be removing this fee from all Online Ordering transactions moving forward.
