Data in guestbook does not match Orders api data with guest attached.
I have noticed that the Toast Guestbook Web UI is able to detect more of a customers orders than just order with the customer info attached to them. I assume this is done with payment fingerprinting. Would having access to the Analytics API, specifically the guest reports endpoint, provide all of the information needed to have the same data that Toast does inside Guestbook?

The Analytics API does expose a
cardFingerprintfield in the guest reports endpoint, but it is unlikely to fully replicate what you’re seeing in Guestbook.From what’s documented in the Toast support article on the Guestbook report, it builds guest profiles based on identity information such as email and phone number collected across different guest touchpoints. In contrast,
cardFingerprintis limited to associating transactions at the payment level and isn’t sufficient on its own to construct a complete guest profile.That said, I’m not able to speak in detail to Guestbook’s internal matching logic beyond what’s publicly documented, as that falls outside of the APIs our team supports.
